			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The inside word is that the Ted Smout Memorial Bridge may well be completed months ahead of schedule.</strong></p>

<p>Certainly the duplication of the bridge into the Redcliffe Peninsula will be a welcome addition and as the photo below demonstrates, it won&#8217;t be long at all before the bridge&#8217;s major infrastructure will connect Deagon/Brighton and Clontarf.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The new bridge is in the background, behind the Houghton Highway and in the foreground is the Hornibrook Highway which is to be eventually dismantled with the exception of some length either side to be used as fishing platforms.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The Queensland State Government will introduce a requirement by property sellers to complete a 57 point questionnaire called a &#8216;Sustainability Declaration&#8217; before any marketing can take place.</strong></p>

<p>From January 1st, 2010 home sellers will need to complete the form which outlines the energy rating of your property in terms of water usage, power usage, energy efficiency and much more.</p>

<p>This information must be made available to prospective buyers and displayed at Open Homes.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Planning and infrastructure minister Stirling Hinchliffe has reportedly called the form &#8220;user-friendly&#8221;.  You can download a copy of the declaration form by<a title="Queensland Government Sustainability Form" href="http://www.dip.qld.gov.au/resources/form/sustainable-housing/declaration.pdf" target="_blank"> clicking here </a>to see for yourself what&#8217;s going to be required of sellers come the first of January.</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s know what you think about the forms. Are they a good thing to help buyers select energy-efficient homes, or are they simply a hurdle for sellers &#8211; and a creation of more red tape to feed lawyers and bureaucrats?</p>
